To whom is „Aco“ a „Miki“?

Organized state silence. That is the only way to interpret the fact that no head of any relevant institution has responded, following the discovery by the TV E investigative team that special prosecutors in the case of investigations and the indictment against businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović misused Sky messages and altered the Europol report.

Chief Special State Prosecutor Vladimir Novović remains silent, even though ETV sent him questions on Monday. There has been no response from the High Court either. As of the publication of this report, the Prosecutorial Council has also not commented, despite our media outlet sending them questions.

STATE SILENCE

-Television E and the ETV Portal have, over the past three days, revealed through investigative reporting that at least 12 identical sentences were copied and used in three prosecutorial acts and in two investigations - one for cigarette smuggling and another for cocaine trafficking from Ecuador. This raised well-founded suspicion that SKY ECC communications were misused. We asked Montenegro’s Prosecutorial Council whether it would react to this and whether it would summon the prosecutors who signed the indictments to explain the situation.

There was no response, just as the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, the High Court, and the Supreme Court had previously ignored questions from our editorial team.

REVERSALS WITH NICKNAMES

The investigative reporting by Television E unequivocally established that 12 identical sentences, literally with the same typographical errors, were inserted into the indictment for cigarette smuggling from Ecuador, as well as into the order to conduct an investigation into cocaine smuggling, also from Ecuador.

It was also established that messages which, according to the Europol document, were sent by a user using the nicknames “Miki” and “Novi Miki” were altered in the indictment into a user with the nickname “Aco,” which was attributed to Aleksandar Mijajlović.

Accompanied with manipulative prosecutorial conclusion: that Mijajlović himself revealed his nickname, which was meant to support the prosecution’s thesis that behind the nickname “Miki” there is actually the nickname “Aco,” and that this is Aleksandar Mijajlović.

In the indictment of Miroslav Turković, the linking of the nickname “Aco” to Aleksandar Mijajlović was cunningly formulated as follows: “…and the defendant Aleksandar Mijajlović did not dispute this fact, since when providing his personal details, he stated that „Aco“ is his nickname.“

Instead of proving a direct link, Turković concluded in the indictment dated June 10 of last year that behind the nicknames “Miki” and “Novi Miki” stands Aleksandar Mijajlović, who until then allegedly used the nickname “Aco” in encrypted communication.

Then, from the midpoint of the indictment onward, Aleksandar Mijajlović is suddenly once again linked to the nickname “Miki.” But not in the original messages, rather in the prosecutor’s descriptions and interpretations of alleged conversations between Dejan Jokić, also charged with cigarette smuggling, and Aleksandar Mijajlović.

All of this is then allegedly proven by selectively quoting SKY messages: “Dejan Jokić writes to Aleksandar Mijajlović the following message: ‘Miki, what’s the situation with payments, money is coming in slowly, and we’re really struggling to collect it.’”

In dozens of messages, the special prosecutor links the nickname “Miki” to Aleksandar Mijajlović, even though in the first half of the same indictment, it was established that Mijajlović’s nickname was - Aco.

But that is not the end of the illogicalities and reversals. In the indictment, Aleksandar Mijajlović is suddenly quoted as allegedly addressing Jokić and calling him by the nickname “Miki”?!

HOW BOTH ALEKSANDAR AND DEJAN BECAME - MIKI

“…The defendant Aleksandar Mijajlović sends a message: Miki, we have around 10/11 shipments / I would rather focus on the afternoon and evening time slots…” That is how it is recorded in the SSPO indictment. Similar situations are repeated in several other places.

This raises the question: how is it that Mijajlović, who supposedly has the nickname “Miki,” suddenly addresses Jokić as “Miki”?

In the 403-page indictment, Aleksandar Mijajlović is initially assigned the nickname “Aco,” then “Miki” is inserted, followed by “Novi Miki,” only for a reversal to occur in the final third of the indictment, where Mijajlović suddenly addresses Jokić with the nickname “Miki.”

The legal representative of Aleksandar Mijajlović, attorney Zoran Piperović, points out that Europol never confirmed to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office that any PIN from the materials belongs to the Podgorica businessman.

PIPEROVIĆ: NO PIN CONFIRMATION FROM EUROPOL

- French authorities never stated - this PIN is used by Aleksandar Mijajlović. The Special State Prosecutor’s Office tried, they contacted the French authorities to check the PINs related to cigarette smuggling for Aleksandar Mijajlović, but Mijajlović’s name was never mentioned - attorney Zoran Piperović, Mijajlović’s defense lawyer, told ETV.

Piperović also believes that the nicknames in the indictment were established illogically, without grounding in the intelligence document of the French Europol.

- How ‘Miki 1’ and ‘Miki 2’ became ‘Aco M’ is completely striking. Imagine someone having the nickname ‘Aco M.’ And if it’s ‘Aco M,’ all that’s left is to add the father’s name in brackets, Slobodan, so it’s clear that it’s ‘Aco, Slobodan’s M,’ and that it’s his,” Piperović concludes.

After four days, four Television E reports, after texts published on the ETV Portal and social networks, and after numerous questions sent to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, the High Court, the Supreme Court, and the Prosecutorial Council, there are still no answers.

That is why the key question now is: will anyone be held accountable for the manipulations and abuses?
