Knežević: Ibrahimović should be dismissed, NSD did not support the interpellation - they should have been the first to sign it

The Democratic People’s Party submitted to the parliamentary procedure an interpellation concerning the work of Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović - leader of this political party, Milan Knežević, announced at a press conference.

He said that the reasons for initiating the interpellation were compelling and justified, and in that context referred to Ibrahimović’s decision to send the chargé d’affaires of the embassy in Zagreb to attend the commemoration of the anniversary of „Operation Storm“, as well as, as he put it, „numerous statements by Ibrahimović and his adviser Ranko Krivokapić that are directly directed against the Serbian people“.

- We propose that Ibrahimović, as the person ultimately responsible at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), be dismissed as soon as possible. The interpellation was signed by me, Jelena Kljaljević and Vladislav Bojović – Knežević said, adding that the interpellation had been offered to all members of the parliamentary majority yesterday, but that they had not accepted it.

In response to journalists’ questions, he said that the interpellation had also been offered to the New Serbian Democracy (NSD), but that they had not accepted it.

- We believed that they should have been the first to sign it. We are in a coalition relationship with NSD in the municipalities where we are in power, while it is clear to everyone that there are major differences at the national level and that we are not together in Podgorica. This is a clear answer to everyone concerned about relations between the Democratic People's Party and NSD - Knežević said.
