Purić resigns as Director of the Durmitor Tourist Center
I am leaving this position with deep regret over the tragic event, with sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and with the hope that the institutions will fully clarify all the circumstances of this case. With the conviction that I performed my duties honorably, responsibly, and in the best interest of the ski resort and the citizens, I am making this decision with a clear conscience - Purić said

The Director of the Durmitor Tourist Center Marinko Purić has resigned from that position following the accident that occurred on Saturday at the Savin Kuk 2 ski resort, in which a German citizen lost his life and his wife was injured.
- I made this decision the moment I arrived at the scene of the accident and saw that one person had tragically lost their life, but due to the broader public interest I waited for the completion of the on-site investigation and preliminary inquiry before informing the public of my resignation. A tragic event in which a human life was lost represents an extremely heavy burden for any institution within which it occurred and for every individual who is part of that institution. Although, based on all available facts and documentation, there is neither personal nor professional fault in my work, for the reasons stated above I have made this decision - Purić stated in his resignation submitted to the President of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank Nikola Tripković.
The Development Bank is the owner of the Durmitor Tourist Center.
- Over more than four years of hard work, together with the employees, I dedicated myself to the development and improvement of the Savin Kuk ski resort. During that period, the resort was raised to a significantly higher level than before, infrastructure was improved, and the value of each individual facility was increased - Purić continued.
He pointed out that two important development projects were implemented: the construction of a conveyor belt with tubing tracks and the first phase of the artificial snowmaking system.
- The operation of the ski resort was orderly, with successful winter and summer seasons, during which more than 100.000 passengers were transported in the summer months, while more than 50.000 ski passes were sold during the winter seasons - Purić added.
Once again, he emphasized that the cable car and ski resort had all the prescribed documentation required for operation, including valid decisions and permits for passenger transport by cable car, inspection reports, steel cable testing reports, proper records of equipment operation, electrical installation reports, temporary approval for the operation of the ski resort for 2025, as well as the detailed design for the reconstruction of the Savin Kuk 2 cable car from 2015.
- Despite this, I am leaving this position with deep regret over the tragic event, with sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and with the hope that the institutions will fully clarify all the circumstances of this case. With the conviction that I performed my duties honorably, responsibly, and in the best interest of the ski resort and the citizens, I am making this decision with a clear conscience - Purić concluded.
