Zečević: Europe Now Movement will support the introduction of integrity checks for the prime minister-designate and members of the Government

Member of Parliament from the Europe Now Movement, Milan Zečević, said that the party would support constitutional amendments introducing mandatory integrity checks for candidates for prime minister and members of the executive branch.

This party believes this is an important step toward strengthening accountability and trust in the institutions of the state.

- Citizens have the right to know that the people appointed to the most responsible positions in the state are individuals whose professional and personal integrity is beyond question - Zečević said in a press statement.

According to him, integrity checks must be clear, objective and applied equally to everyone, without political selection or the possibility of abuse.

- That is precisely why we support a constitutional solution that will regulate this area at the highest legal level and ensure that the same standards apply to all future members of the Government. The Europe Now Movement will support these amendments because we believe that strengthening the integrity of public officials means strengthening institutions and citizens’ trust in the state - Zečević concluded.
