House arrest lifted for Milorad Žižić

Milorad Žižić, the former head of the Department for Combating Serious Crimes within the Sector for the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption, has had his house arrest lifted, as confirmed to the ETV Portal.
The High Court in Podgorica, acting upon a motion filed by Žižić’s defense attorney, Mubera Kurpejović, issued a decision lifting the imposed supervisory measures, namely the ban on leaving his apartment and the ban on approaching or meeting with certain individuals, who have in the meantime been questioned as witnesses.
It should be recalled that Žižić, former Assistant Director of the Police Administration Dejan Knežević, and police officer Aleksandar Bošković were arrested at the end of November last year by order of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SSPO), on suspicion of allegedly being members of a group which, according to the SSPO, was formed by former police official Zoran Lazović.
They denied the allegations contained in the order to conduct the investigation before Special Prosecutor Jovan Vukotić.
