Kadić appointed director of the Health Insurance Fund, Ružić’s mandate terminated

The Management Board of the Health Insurance Fund, at today’s session, acted in accordance with the Administrative Court’s ruling, and the institution will be headed by Vuk Kadić.

- There were no sensational, dramatic, or unlawful decisions at the session, as had been announced in previous days. Guided by the Administrative Court’s ruling, the Management Board noted the termination of the acting mandate of Mr. Aleksandar Ružić and, in accordance with the ruling, the continuation of Mr. Vuk Kadić’s mandate as director - said the Chair of the Management Board Marko Tomašević.

He explained that the Administrative Court’s ruling did not dispute the legality of Mr. Kadić’s dismissal, but rather the procedure by which it was carried out.

- Accordingly, given that the Administrative Court ordered the Management Board, in repeated proceedings and taking into account its guidance, to adopt a new lawful decision, the Board has decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Vuk Kadić before the State Disciplinary Commission for a serious breach of work obligations/exceeding official authority - Tomašević told Vijesti.
