Mijajlović: I have recordings and messages showing who from the SSPO and SPD asked me for money and apartments at lower prices

I documented all the messages and recordings showing who from the Special State Prosecutor’s Office and the Special Police Department asked me for apartments at reduced prices, as well as for money, in my will - businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović said today before the High Court in Podgorica while supplementing his defense, noting that not all details of his statement were entered into the record on March 11.
Mijajlović categorically denied that he was one of the organizers of cigarette smuggling.
- Ten days before my arrest, I knew I would be arrested, when one of them returned from skiing. I could have fled so they would never find me, but I would never have done that. How would I explain that to my family - Mijajlović asked.
Those who, as he claims, are fabricating charges against him should be ashamed, and it will all come back to them.
He also referred to a message: „Let's see Aco, he has strong connections there“.
Mijajlović explained that the prosecution claims these messages on the Sky application were exchanged between Petar Lazović and Ljubo Milović.
- No one has ever asked me anything about the port in Dubai, and especially not Petar Lazović, because we did not have that level of communication. I am 20 years older than him, he was not my friend, his father was - said Mijajlović.
He emphasized that he has never entered any port in the United Arab Emirates. He explained that records of entries exist and that the prosecutor could have verified this, expressing surprise that it was not done.
Mijajlović pointed out that one part of the indictment claims he exchanged messages, which he says is incorrect and refers to other individuals.
He added that the indictment’s claim about him flying at 6 p.m. is also inaccurate, noting that he has a ticket showing the exact time of his flight.
Before the panel chaired by Judge Boris Bulatović, he repeated that in March 2024 his phone was accessed without his presence and that the Telegram application was installed at that time.
- A notification was sent to people who have me in their contacts, including attorney Stefan Jovanović, who took a screenshot - Mijajlović said.
In supplementing his defense, he pointed out that the prosecutor nowhere explicitly states in the indictment that he is the user of the PIN attributed to him.
- Nowhere does the Special State Prosecutor’s Office say „it's proven“, but rather: we suspect, we conclude, we reason… This could be translated as: we dream, we would like, we imagine - said Mijajlović.
He stressed that EUROPOL stated that the PIN user was „Novi Miki“ („New Miki“), while the indictment claims the person had the nickname „Aco“, even though this is not stated anywhere in the documents sent to Montenegro.
It should be recalled that on March 11, Mijajlović denied leading a criminal group involved in cigarette smuggling and stated that he had never possessed a phone with the Sky application installed.
At that time, he also said that he had left a will specifying who would be responsible if his children were left orphaned.
- I wrote everything in detail, what happened, who asked me for what, what kind of money and apartments. In these proceedings, there is the same prosecutor, the same head of the SPD, and their superior. Will these people be held accountable later? I can look anyone in the eye - Mijajlović said in March.
In addition to Mijajlović, those indicted include the owner of „Tehnomax“ Vesko Petranović, Dejan Jokić, Zoran Đukanović, Golub Vojinović, police officers Milenko „Mića“ Rabrenović, Dragan Backović, Mirko Mijušković and Radoje Rabrenović.
The indictment also includes police officers Marko Đurišić, Dražen Vukadinović and Davor Lukačević, as well as Branko Čelić, Ratomir Obrenić, Jovan Miletić, Marinko Koprivica, Dušan Vukadinović and Dražen Vukadinović.
Three indictments have been merged in this case.
Television E has previously reported on numerous inconsistencies, including alleged fabrications in the indictments against Aleksandar Mijajlović; such as the same 12 sentences being used by the prosecution for both cocaine smuggling and cigarette smuggling charges related to the port of Guayaquil in Ecuador. The investigation by the media team indicated that someone had altered and added to an intelligence document from the French Europol.
