Request to remove High Court panel from Mijajlović case rejected as unfounded

The Court of Appeals has dismissed as unfounded a request by the Special State Prosecutor's Office to disqualify the High Court panel composed of Zoran Radović, Boris Savić and Vesna Kovačević from hearing the case against businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović and five other defendants.

By a decision of the Acting President of the Court dated August 4, 2026, the request was rejected as unfounded - the Court of Appeals told Television E.
Prosecutors from the Special State Prosecutor's Office submitted the request during a hearing held last Friday to review the amended indictment.
Attorney Zoran Piperović said at the time that, to his knowledge, it was the first time prosecutors had sought the recusal of a judicial panel during a hearing to confirm an indictment.
