Vučić accuses Montenegro of waging hybrid warfare against Serbia and taking its territory, places his trust in his friend Knežević

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has accused Montenegro of conducting a hybrid war against his country, claiming that Montenegrin media played a „significant role during the coloured revolution in Serbia“.

In an interview with TV Prva, Vučić said that Montenegro's attitude toward Serbia has remained unchanged since the change of government in 2020.

- As far as relations with Serbia are concerned, they are not an iota better or worse. I have already become accustomed to that. Do not forget that they were further deteriorated because the media in Montenegro played a significant role in carrying out the „coloured revolution“ in Serbia. A hybrid war was waged, and everyone took part in it while pretending they were not involved. We did not take their territory; rather, they took ours - namely 14 percent of the territory of Kosovo and Metohija. Since they keep saying they did not betray us, that is simply not true - he said.

Vučić also claimed that Serbia does not interfere in Montenegro's territorial and constitutional affairs.

- It is not their place to lecture us, those matters are governed by international and public law - he stated.

He further said that the Serbian people living in Montenegro would continue to enjoy full support from their homeland.

- I hope that one day they will be able to secure their fundamental rights - their flag, their script... I have faith in my friend Milan Knežević and many others in Montenegro who are doing valuable work - Vučić concluded.
