Gorčević in Brussels on Wednesday for event dedicated to final stage of accession process

Montenegro’s Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević will take part in an event in Brussels on Wednesday dedicated to the final stage of the accession process and Montenegro’s next steps towards full membership in the European Union.

Gorčević said on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that she would participate in the event, which will be held at the European Parliament (EP), at the invitation of the EP’s rapporteur for Montenegro, Marjan Šarec.

As she said, the event will provide an opportunity to discuss with Members of the European Parliament the political and reform-related final stage of Montenegro’s European path, as well as the country’s prospects for EU membership.

- Montenegro’s membership will be recognition of the results we have achieved, but also confirmation that progress based on reforms leads to a clear and tangible political outcome - Gorčević said.
