The Ministry of the Interior will procure two modern off-road pickup vehicles with a total estimated value of 101.669 euros, excluding VAT, according to a public procurement notice issued at the end of last year.

The vehicles in question are off-road pickups with a double cab and four doors, intended for demanding terrain and operational tasks. They must be equipped with a diesel engine with a minimum displacement of 2.700 cubic centimeters and an output of at least 150 kW, an automatic transmission, and are required to meet EURO VI emission standards.

A minimum payload capacity of 1.000 kilograms and a cargo bed length of up to 1,620 millimeters make these vehicles suitable for work in difficult conditions.

Particular emphasis has been placed on safety and driver-assistance systems. The vehicles are required to be equipped with ABS, EBD, and BA systems for more efficient braking, traction and stability control (TRC, VSC), hill-start and downhill assist (HAC and DAC), as well as active driver-assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and automatic low-speed braking.

The safety equipment requirements include at least seven airbags, a reinforced passenger cabin, and an engine immobilizer system. In terms of comfort, the vehicles must feature digital automatic climate control, heated front and rear seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a leather steering wheel and gear selector, as well as comprehensive multimedia equipment with an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation system, reversing camera, parking sensors, and a JBL sound system with nine speakers.

The exterior specifications include LED lighting units, tinted rear windows, 18-inch alloy wheels, off-road tires, side steps, and additional bumper protection. The vehicles are to be finished in metallic grey, equipped with an aluminum roll-top cover for the cargo bed, and a European-standard tow bar with electrical wiring.

The tender submission deadline is 29 January.
